This sea salt is produced on the Pacific Coast, in Hawaii around the island of Molokai, where a long tradition gives the salt a strong symbolic link to nature, associating it with colours linked to the elements: volcanic earth, luxuriant vegetation, water from the Pacific Ocean… In the basins where this salt is produced, a bamboo leaf extract is added to the seawater, which gives the salt this typical pale green colouring, as well as its unique and subtle flavour. In the mouth, it is aromatic, and offers a beautiful presence of fresh plant notes. It will pair nicely with rice and exotic dishes such as Thai food, raw fish and white meat.
